"Piikani Painted Lodge" depicts a painted lodge. The Blackfoot Confederacy are known for their painted lodges. The painted lodges are sacred and bring good luck to its owner(s). The designs are transferred and have been in Blackfoot families for generations.
Within his artwork John uses ink and color pencil on antique documents.
